I'm reading
As a reader (and a writer), one of my rules of thumb is to never trust a writer who doesn't like reading. It's perhaps my personal prejudice (since I'm an avid reader) but to this day, it's a rule that has served me well!
Another rule I've got (or perhaps undesirable trait if you're at the end of it) is that if I enjoy a book, I will probably not shut up about it. I love books. The places they can take you, the experiences they share and the feeelings they make you feel are a bit of an addiction for me. And I take it very personally. To this day, I have banned Dostoyesvsy from my reading pile until further notice and all because of what he did to me while reading The Idiot. I still shudder thinking about it.
And that takes me back to my original point. If you don't like reading, you won't get access to that wonderful universe of feelings and experiences books can offer. An acceptable state of affairs for almost everyone in my book except for writers. Writers need to read.
And that is precisely the purpose of this section. Here you'll find me going on about what I'm reading from time to time and every now and then, you'll find a review or two.
Hope you enjoy it and keep reading!
